I was actually too “tired and emotional” to think correctly having just made it to bed, after staying up until 5 am with my sister drinking wine and eating crisps. After considering each others many mistakes and embarrassments, we decided we weren’t so bad after all and got to bed for three hours sleep.

To go back to generalisations – the Scots drink too much.

Not true – we drunk exactly the right amount (and were up the next day fit to face up to our family responsibilities).
