You are quite right Misterq, people shouldn’t start nasty threads insulting other people.
It’s very immature and pathetic and quite frankly some people just will not stand for it.

So agree with you about games focused more on fun/pleasure, learning/knowledge/further research if interested. Think often you will agree have shared my passion in learning/pursue knowledge, even research if more curious. We grow with each other in my opinion, pass on interest, knowledge we pass it on, so to speak… in this way together we learn. Can be very fun, enjoyable and rewarding…
And sometimes you have those who play very competitively. May become more aggressive, want to suceed more forget the value in first place. Not only seen through board games, but sports as well often….
So have myself asked often here meanings publicly of things. Never ever get a reply. (Thanks again mizzy explaining game)not computer smart with all abreviations, reason may be lengthy at times. Type fast some times typo in which spelling may reflect that. Do not use spell check either. Do not know a word, look up in a book.So now ask you, what the heck is a “ffs”? Thanks ha ha..

14 July, 2017 at 7:36 pm #1060917No one needs to swear on quiz night. We leave that at the front door. Manners are important here, well every where really. And we don’t goad either, we’re a community. You don’t like some one? then avoid them, ignore them but never write public posts on it. We score points in Quiz for correct answers…….no one is interested in scoring points on each other.
“WE”.. would that be the Royal “we”. from the dude that has been doing the quizzes for 2 weeks. In the beginning, it was a laugh and Mobbed, with people swearing and joking about.
I swore on the night I mentioned in a form of Humour , as a fellow contestant asked for a bonus on a spec question, because she wore specs.. it was a laugh. I laughed when I typed it and she laughed at her hard neck of asking for a bonus on a tenuous link.
Was more an ovaltine moment, than a libertine one.
I shall swear and curse when, and if, I want to. without fear of being lectured. WE were once a different kettle of fish, that laughed, and did not take ourselves too damm serious.

It is very rude, not a term I use much but then I don’t tend to swear that often.
Happy to have been of service x
