Gagging and kicking

Whilst I wasn’t there at that point J …. I couldn’t agree more .

It has got to the point now in F3 room where you are not allowed an opinion – unless of course it is the same as everyone else’s … But then , come to think of it ……. it has always been like that . I think it depends who is ” on Duty” at the time .

Now I shall say no more , for fear of being banned from the boards – Just like I was booted from the room for saying how a certain someone of so called ” authority” was childish.

Whilst I appreciate Guides and hosts have a job to do …. I really do think some need to be reminded that if they showed the respect for chatters , and their opinions , as most of us chatters do to them … it would make for a better room .

I repeat .. we can’t all get on and like the same people- The ones I don’t like , I ignore. Unfortunately this afternoon , I got into trouble for doing just that. Why? because it was a erm …… person of Authority. :roll:

This afternoon Helen has been having a private chat with someone in the room who has not said a single word in the room during that time, but has been gagged three times during that period.

At the same time there was a debate going on about migrant workers and various points of view were aired and discussed but still some people were gagged and kicked because the points they made were regarded as racist.

When people in the room tell others they are putting them on ignore and tell them to F off because they do not like them or what they say is it not time to think that not everyone has the same thoughts or views as you, but that it takes all sorts to make a world and also to make a chat room

Well I waited until I saw either you or Helen or both to confront you with this accusation face to face so to speak. As you both know I confronted both of you this afternoon in the Chat Forum Three. I wanted to make sure Helen wasn’t incapacitated as she seemed to be unable to post for herself. As Helen wasn’t there for the whole debate and hadn’t seen what had gone on and had no idea of what was going on behind the scenes it would have been more advisable for her to have pm’ed me and asked if someone she was talking to had been indeed gagged.

For your information there was only one person I gagged who I felt was making offensive remarks about immigrants. Of course if Helen was beguiling someone with her sparkling personality and relevant opinions on the debate in question at the time then I’m sorry the recipient didn’t reply to her in pm but that doesn’t mean they were gagged.

Had Helen simply contacted me or another Host or Guide then this matter would have been cleared up in a trice, after all there were other moderators in situ at the time so it could have been addressed promptly instead of posted as a whinge about a site you both choose to use regularly.

I have to the say the debate was quite heated at times, interesting, informative, thought provoking yet soured by a few. I hope there will many more!

Let’s hope in future ‘Girl Power’ will win through and women will feel they can speak for themselves. Ms Pankhurst didn’t chain herself to railings for nothing you know !
