    haha cosy 4 years.

I should of been at work today, but laying on the bed with a hot water bottle on my back after pulling something yesterday climbing out the work van.

    Placepots, now your talking.

If i had a pound for every time i got 5 out of 6 i would be a rich man.Its the small fields with 4 or less runners that seem to let you down as you have to pick the winner. But methods ive used in the past include…..

Never back the favourite, as most other people will and if you win a placepot when all the favourites get placed the dividend is minimal.

I would tend to back two horses in each race doing 64 lines at 10p stakes picking an outsider and one in the first three in the betting. The payout last week at Exeter for a pound stake was nearly 9 grand, so even if you get one line up you would win a tenth of that.

Certain courses have their quirks like Brighton for example, if you backed horse numbers 1 and 3 at Brighton this year in placepots you would be showing a good profit. The top weights do well there as the ground is rarely soft.

When i won 1600 quid in july i simply backed the top speed rated horse from the racing post in each race, 4 placepots won that day out of 6 meetings.

But there is no easy road to riches, if there was i wouldnt be pulling muscles in my back climbing out of vans.

As for the system, well i think that one dive bombed…..i blame pepper

Ive been working on another at the moment which seems to do really well when the ground isnt firm, i just need to cut the amount of runners down as there are too many every day. I used it at newmarket the other week and had two good winners 14-1 etc.

If your up for a day at the races next year let me know, would like to try haydock.

good start cosy, you got the winner of the four horse race and the favourite didnt win so a lot of tickets would of failed on the first leg. good luck.
