I remember the Temperance Seven primarily because I used to work (many years ago) with a guy who played one of the instruments in their band – a Tuba I think it was. He was a somewhat eccentric character – who managed our Broadcast video equipment hire division in Soho, central London – and who had an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of musical trivia.
His nickname was “Catweazle” due to his wildly uncontrolled hairstyle that merged seamlessly into an enormous bushy beard. He chainsmoked Gauloises and his normally grey/white hair & beard combo was stained a bright nicotine yellow around where his mouth was hidden.

Don’t like jazz. Some country is ok, depends whose singing it. Reggae and ska I don’t like either, and don’t even get me started on rap. GRRRRRRRRRR@eminem. His “music” is total bollocks. In fact if I ever met him I’d do this:
And as for opera, what language do these people sing it in? Can anyone actually understand all that wailing? Dreadfull racket.
The “dreadful wailing” that you call Opera is mainly sung in Italian – which might go some way towards explaining why you find understanding it, somewhat challenging.
The only rapper I actually like is Eminem. :lol:
