France have extremely good players in their side so I’m predicting a French victory against Spain. You people are dismissing the French too quickly. Any team with Henry, Trezeguet, Zidane, Ribery and Vieira in it is capable of beating any team in the world.
Zidane isnt even a mere shadow of the player of 1998. France might even do better without him.
Ribery scored, Vieira scored, Zidane scored and Spain went home. I told you that you were writing off the French too soon.

and zidane was superb also, fantastic player… still, a great way to bow out of football
All the critics of France are now eating humble pie. Zidane was incredible today. Ribery gave France an extra cutting edge too. There’s a good chance France could go all the way. They would probably meet Germany in the final and it’s hard to predict the outcome, but France are starting to play like they should play and they are the team with the players for the big occasion. They might shake up the world and win the cup after looking like no-hopers at the start of the tournament.
I agree.. France were sensational tonight! The best performance in this World Cup so far.. by a mile.
Zidane was majestic… awesome stuff!
Makelele and Viera were immense.. doubling up, protecting the back four, nullifying any hint of a Brazilian threat.What a miraculous transformation!!!!!! :shock:
Judging by this and their performance against Spain.. they deserve to win the World Cup.. I hope they do now!

Y’know, us Scottish folk have been told so many times over the last couple of weeks that we should be supporting our neighbours….so, if the feeling is that strong, will England supporters now be rooting for France????
What with them being the closest neighbours still in the competiton and all…? :wink:

No problemo – bring your own horses head in case Italy loses.
BTW: Italy – vs – Germany is going to be a real needle match. All the old WW2 enemities will be remembered !!!
