Forgiveness

I thought of you today. We went to our local British Legion. Its always full of ex servicemen. I would love to say women too, but have yet to see one lol!!

I couldnt get out of my mind what you posted and was telling a friend of mine about it (hope you dont mind…. not exactly private here is it :wink: )

She took out a press cutting from her purse that she carries everywhere.

1941. Her Dad and his brother were posted to completely different places in the world. Neither knew where the other was. And then by chance they both got posted to this island somewhere (sorry, my short term memory isnt great, but it was somewhere nice) and they met up.

The paper is all brown and discoloured, but she had it laminated, so it is preserved forever.

There are some good sorts up the legion doing all sorts of things to help not just the ex servicemen, but also present soldiers when they come out.

I would love it if you could join us up there for a beer one day Oss. Then we could all put the world to rights together.

Until then keep posting on here. And dont hold it in till it gets too much. Let it all hang out as they say.

honestly though mate… know how it feels.. happiness is not somthing you can just go out and find, in general, tends to be somthing that happens over time while baring the downs along the way

maybe the answer for you is to take a break from what your doing for a while
