Way deep down inside
When I hear your voice
I cannot hide
The feelings I try to bury
But to the surface they ride
If fate were to turn back the hands of time
Then I know you would be mine
In each other’s arms
Day and night
The world would stand still
For you and I
Our hearts would beat as one
We’d finish each other’s sentences
That longing look, deep into each other’s eyes
Talking a language that only you and I would understand
These emotions whirling around in my head and my heart
They will not stop
They long for you, for your tender touch once more
For you to make me whole, complete
When I close my eyes at night it’s your face I see
Staring back at me
With that beautiful cheeky smile
You could melt my heart for all the while
You invade my thoughts throughout my working day
I’m wondering what your doing
And if you ever think of me that way?
I am happy, content and free
But often wonder what might have been
Things happen for a reason
A true believer in fate I be
Although our soul’s belong to others
Our heart’s will always beat for one another
We showed each other how to unlock the key
To feelings and emotions we thought could not exist
Unwrapped them and covered each other in them
With our words, our touch, our glances, our kisses
Our caresses, our being
In year’s to come when I’m visiting my special place
And the sun beats down on my face
I’ll think of you, and wonder if your happy
And remember how fate brought us together
For a very short time
And I’ll smile a thousand smiles for you
Always.

What a wonderful poem , many of us (although we don’t always admit it) have someone from our past that we still think about and wonder what if – see you soon -Love William :)24 February, 2006 at 8:37 am #199256I agree William, Mine is a Louise McCrory, and a Laura Brown. Often think of them both. TWo girls from my past who i got to know quite well and wander what they look like now and what they are doing with their lives.
Pretty mad really, all the people you meet, and you only think about a select few :D
