Obama doesn’t want to commit troops. Cameron is about to give his plan to the Commons in a few days, and everybody is waiting to hear how it’s going to destroy ISIS and remove the threats that hang over us.

The armchair warriors, safe behind their computers, should stop calling for other people to die, and prancing around with bravado phrases pretending to be tin soldiers, and start discussion about reality.

Fight with the Kurds and you suddenly find yourself fighting the Turks, who are making war on the Kurds while keeping up the pretence of fighting ISIS. The Kurds are very good fighters, defeating ISIS easily; so are the shiite militias run by Iran; but they no sooner win a battle than they start fighting each other.
Meanwhile Turkey is turning the stopcocks of the refugee camps on and off in order to get Western money and diplomatic entrances into the EU, and Assad is playing everybody off against each other and somehow surviving.

So the best way is to negotiate a deal between them on the ground, Send your own troops in and add to the quagmire if you like!
