yeah, heard from them again today lunch time… my auntie was in tears, same with my little cousin, they just wanna come home.. my uncle does’nt mind staying though to see it out, their hotel is still ok, but the village is in a bit of a mess
main thing is they are ok, bbc news have been great, fantastic infact, kept us updated.. and my mums done about 2 or 3 interviews today on various radio stations, so she feels all famous now..
Not for me to say anything as the experience must have been horrific and I can perfectly understand your aunt wanting to come home but is there anything they, or any other of the holidaymakers, could do to help the local Greeks clear up the mess?
It may be a token gesture but one which would be gratefully received

23 August, 2006 at 5:37 pm #237064I feel sorry for any country who suffers a disaster like that but to expect or ask for help off people who suffered in it is not a good idea. They are in shock for 1 and im sure the whole world will fund raise to help them recover.
