I wonder if £2.5 million will be raised to help bring her home?
21 May, 2007 at 3:07 pm #271244First I’ve heard of it, and I watch Sky News a lot during the day. There’s been plenty of useless information about Maddie though.
21 May, 2007 at 5:27 pm #271245The “news”, is a glossy magazine of celebrityfied hype.
It takes the presenters a long time to powder themselves up, to find the right outfits to wear, think of all the time spent putting the studio together, with fitted lights and special effects.
Sure, they have to know what their saying, but its glamorised because the public dont like mundane news.
They make more money with a reporter in the sunshine of Portugal waffeling on about a missing little girl, than they do about your average teenage girl missing in rainy England.

I very very rarely resort to personal insults but you are such an fu/ckwit.
To compare the abduction from her bedroom of a 3 year old girl to the missing 11 year old, who has gone missing before (and only 24 hours ago) is cretinous
The first 24 hours of Madeline Mcanns abduction saw little of the blanket coverage we have now and to use the over exposure of the modern media to somehow belittle the girls abduction sums you up
22 May, 2007 at 7:49 am #271247lets just hope there’s a glimmer of hope for this wee Lass….
22 May, 2007 at 8:52 am #271248Paige has been found.
News I’ve just read this morning says she turned up at a relatives house. Police are still trying to find out where she had been during the time missing.http://www.virginmedia.com/news/uk/uk-story.php?storyid=8356736

A missing girl is a missing girl. What about the hundreds of missing children that go missing every year, some have still not been found.
Do you really think that if Madeline had gone missing in the north pole, or somewhere where the weather was awful, the media would camp out reporting it…
Madeline’s missing, so what, theres loads missing, its just that this one is 3 and in a sunny climate.
What about Naomi denton-younger, missing since 15th of march? Javian mathews, feb 21. Nadia bouteldja, missing since may 27 1997 when she was 9. Anita radjoelina, missing since 15th dec 2002 when she was 5. Lisa marie michael missing since 7th oct 2000 when she was 7.
What about these children?????? The media make me sick.
22 May, 2007 at 1:36 pm #271250im sorry but i have to say it 2.5 million will make life a lot easier for the family to live with their loss…
a doctor and a heart surgeon… they realy dont need the cash do they ? i hope they donate the money to charities that help find children across the world that are taken on a daily basis and just becase their families arent white, or wealthy nothing is done to help them.
i hope lill maddie is found but i doubt it now… if i said prayers they would be all for her just now…22 May, 2007 at 4:35 pm #271251@waspish wrote:

If the McCanns claimed it, then they would be locked up for abducting their own child. This reward can only go to a third party.

The Mcaanns have already publicly said this money will go towards a fund to support any other families who find themselves in similar circumstances- Wasp response sums up so much of public misconception
