TOM JONES
“You Can Leave Your Hat On”
Baby, take off your coat, real slow.
Baby, take off your shoes. I’ll help you take off your shoes.
Baby, take off your dress. Yes, yes, yes.You can leave your hat on.
You can leave your hat on.
You can leave your hat on.Go over there, turn on the light. No, all the lights.
Come back here, stand on the chair. Ooh, baby, that’s right!
Raise your arms in the air, now shake ’em.You give me reason to live.
You give me reason to live.
You give me reason to live.
You can leave your hat on!Suspicious minds are talking. That’s right, they’ll tear us apart.
They don’t believe in this love of ours.
They don’t know what love is.
They don’t know what love is.
I know what love is.
You can leave your hat on.
You can:lol:    8)

22 January, 2006 at 1:51 pm #111144Well I built my life around you, did what I thought was right.
But you never cared about me, now I’ve seen the light.
Oh darling, there ain’t no pleasin’ you.You seemed to think that everything I ever did was wrong.
I should have known it, all along.
Oh darlin’, there ain’t no pleasin’ you.You only ‘ad to say the word,
And you knew I’d do it.
You ‘ad me where you wanted me,
But you went and blew it.Now everything I ever done, was only done for you.
But now you can go and do, just what you wanna do,
I’m tellin’ you.Coz I ain’t gonna be made to look a fool no more,
You done it once too often, what do ya take me for?
Oh darlin’, there ain’t no pleasin’ you.And you seemed to think that everything I ever did was wrong.
I should ‘ave known it all along,
That darlin’, there ain’t no pleasin’ you.You only ‘ad to say the word,
And you knew I’d do it.
Oh darlin’, there ain’t no pleasin’ you.Now if you think I don’t mean what I say, and I’m only bluffin’.
You got another thing comin’, I’m tellin’ you that for nothin’.
Coz darlin’ I’m leavin’,
That’s what I’m gonna…do-oo-oo23 January, 2006 at 7:57 pm #111145To really love a woman
To understand her – you gotta know her deep inside
Hear every thought – see every dream
N’ give her wings – when she wants to fly
Then when you find yourself lyin’ helpless in her arms
Ya know ya really love a womanWhen you love a woman you tell her
That she’s really wanted
When you love a woman you tell her that she’s the one
Cuz she needs somebody to tell her
That it’s gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really
– really really ever loved a woman? To really love a woman
Let her hold you –
Til ya know how she needs to be touched
You’ve gotta breathe her – really taste her
Til you can feel her in your blood
N’ when you can see your unborn children in her eyes
Ya know ya really love a womanWhen you love a woman
You tell her that she’s really wanted
When you love a woman you tell her that she’s the one
Cuz she needs somebody to tell her
That you’ll always be together
So tell me have you ever really –
Really really ever loved a woman? You got to give her some faith – hold her tight
A little tenderness – gotta treat her right
She will be there for you, takin’ good care of you
Ya really gotta love your woman…Then when you find yourself lyin’ helpless in her arms
Ya know ya really love a woman
When you love a woman you tell her
That she’s really wanted
When you love a woman you tell her that she’s the one
Cuz she needs somebody to tell her
That it’s gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really
– really really ever loved a woman?Just tell me have you ever really,
Really, really, ever loved a woman?
Just tell me have you ever really,
Really, really, ever loved a woman?23 January, 2006 at 11:33 pm #111146Laughing Gnome……David Bowie
Was walking down the High Street
When I heard footsteps behind me
And there was a little old man (Hello)
In scarlet and grey, shuffling away (laughter)
Well he trotted back to my house
And he sat beside the telly (Oaah..)
With his tiny hands on his tummy
Chuckling away, laughing all day (laughter)Oh, I ought to report you to the Gnome office
(Gnome Office)
Yes
(Hahahahaha)CHORUS
Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
“I’m a laughing Gnome and you can’t catch me”
Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
“I’m a laughing Gnome and you can’t catch me”
Said the laughing GnomeWell I gave him roasted toadstools and a glass of dandelion wine (Burp, pardon)
Then I put him on a train to Yorkshire
Carried his bag and gave him a fag
(Haven’t you got a light boy?)
“Here, where do you come from?”
(Gnome-man’s land, hahihihi)
“Oh, really?”

Jonny LangLie to me and tell me everything is all right
Lie to me and tell me that you’ll stay here tonight
Tell me that you’ll never leave
Oh, and I’ll just try to make believe
That everything, everything your telling me is true
Come on baby won’t you justLie to me, go ahead and lie to me
Lie to me, it doesn’t matter anymore
It could never be, the way it was before
If I can’t hold on to you
Leave me somethin’ I can hold onto
For just a little while won’t you, won’t you let me beOh, anyone can see
That you love him more than me
But right now baby let me pretend
That our love will never endLie to me, go ahead and lie to me

If you need someone to count on, count me in
Someone you can rely on through thick and thin
When you start to count the ones that you might ever doubt
If you think of counting me, count me outWhen you count the ones that want you, count me too
And if I’m not first on your list, count me blue
Just be sure you count on me, and when the counting’s through
Count me madly in love with youIf you need someone to count on when you’re down
And all your other friends you’ve lost, count me found
Just be sure you count on me when you’re down and out
Count me in through thick and thin or it don’t countWhen you count the ones that want you, count me too
And if I’m not first on your list, count me blue
Just be sure you count on me, and when the counting’s through
Count me madly in love with you26 January, 2006 at 4:01 pm #111149Artist: Jimmy Soul Lyrics
Song: If You Wanna Be Happy LyricsIf you wanna be happy
For the rest of your life,
Never make a pretty woman your wife,
So from my personal point of view,
Get an ugly girl to marry you.A pretty woman makes her husband look small
And very often causes his downfall.
As soon as he marries her
Then she starts to do
The things that will break his heart.
But if you make an ugly woman your wife,
You’ll be happy for the rest of your life,
An ugly woman cooks her meals on time,
She’ll always give you peace of mind.Don’t let your friends say
You have no taste,
Go ahead and marry anyway,
Though her face is ugly,
Her eyes don’t match,
Take it from me she’s a better catch.Say man.
Hey baby.
Saw your wife the other day.
Yeah?
Yeah, she’s ugly.
Yeah, she’s ugly but she sure can cook.
Yeah?. Okay.:D/ :D/ :D/ :D/ :-s
28 January, 2006 at 1:01 am #111150Come and hold my hand
I wanna contact the living
Not sure I understand
This role I’ve been givenI sit and talk to god
And he just laughs at my plans
My head speaks a language
I don’t understandI just want to feel real love
Fill the home that I live in
’cause I got too much life
Running through my veins
Going to wasteI don’t want to die
But I ain’t keen on living either
Before I fall in love
I’m preparing to leave her
I scare myself to death
That’s why I keep on running
Before I’ve arrived
I can see myself comingI just want to feel real love
Fill the home that I live in
’cause I got too much life
Running through my veins
Going to waste
And I need to feel real love
And a life ever after
I cannot give it upI just want to feel real love
Fill the home that I live in
I got too much love
Running through my veins
To go to wasteI just wanna feel real love
In a life ever after
There’s a hole in my soul
You can see it in my face
It’s a real big place28 January, 2006 at 5:22 pm #111151She was beautiful as southern skies
the night he met her
she was married to someone
he was doggedly determined
that he would get her
he was old he was young
from time to time he would tip his heart
but each time she withdrewCHORUS:
everybody loves the sound of a train in the distance
everybody thinks its truewell eventually the boy the girl get married
sure enough they have a son
and although both were occupied with the child she carried
disagreements had begun
and in a while it just fell apart
it wasn’t hard to doCHORUS
two disapointed believers
two people playing the game
negotiations and love songs
are often mistaken for one and the samewell the man and the woman
they remain in contact
let us say it’s for the child
with disagrements about the meaning of a marriage contract
conversations hard and wild
from time to time he would make her laugh
she’d cook him a meal or twoCHORUS
what is the point of this story?
what information pertains?
the thought that life could be better
is woven indelibly into our hearts and our brains
like a train in the distance
