12 July, 2006 at 1:07 pm #230126I’m currently in transition with a bad hair dye so I’m still looking like I have orange hair. But I’d say other than that, back in the late 80’s when Hair Bands were big (Poison, Bon Jovi, White Snake, etc.), I would use go thru a can (yes, cans back then) of hair spray and make my hair stand straight out. That, along with men’s button down shirts and those tight black pants and blue eye shadow. Puberty was a killer as far as my fashion sense.
13 July, 2006 at 1:41 am #230127Ummm….
My friend tried to cut me a fringe when I was 15 but we only had a pair of nail scissors…she cut it far too short, it looked bloody awful for ages.
I dyed my hair black at 18 but I am too pale so I looked like death, so I dyed it bright red which was pretty cool for a while until I got bored with it – asked my hairdresser to dye it blonde and ended up with an orangey ginger shade for 6 months  Unfortunately I got my provisional licence when I had black hair so still have the photo as an awful reminder
Clothes….loads of disasters in the late 80’s..but I can blame my mum for buying my clothes then. I don’t think there was anything too bad in the 90’s once I started buying my own stuff. Well..apart from a pair of platform trainers when the Spice Girls came on the scene
