Well, I am not on any high moral ground, but I would never read PM’s. And, I was a message board monitor, still am I think, and I never even bothered to find out how! What people say to each other in private…. is just that.. private.

For the owner/moderator of a site to look at member’s private messages is just wrong. It shows lack of respect if nothing else, and if they wanted to show them to each other and have a laugh at others’ expense, then that is just down right nasty. And it doesn’t matter if most people knew they did it, that doesn’t make it right.

And… i may be on a high horse here, but I agree with what others have said on this matter. It is just about simple decency and respect. If the owners of a site, people like fast, can’t respect his regulars, then he should seriously think about the reasons he wants to run a site in the first place. And that respect also extends to letting people know that he is closing it down and keeping people informed instead of as lucky put it.. bolting.

I don’t give a flying donut what reasons he had for closing down the site like that, and I don’t know if he just closed it down so he could alter the look of it or the name, it doesn’t really matter. He did what he did and a few people seem upset at the manner in which he did it.

Actually Minim… maybe the site will never recover…… just thinking about it now, how will people feel comfortable using it? I know right now people are feeling the loss but once they are all back on familiar ground….. how do they progress? will anyone be able to use the site in the way they used to? will suspicion and mistrust allow that?…. doubt it to be honest… maybe I’m wrong… hope so.
