Could be the italian thing Soulie. I have Italian connections, and they CAN be different! Found my uncle (My grandfather’s, sister’s husband) to be VERY Arrogant, but at the same time, kind of generous, but my cousins, (His kids) they are really Down To Earth!

We simply can’t choose our families, and I suppose no matter how much we may all bicker, at the end of the day, most families will almost stick together.

Used to have a large family, both sides, but arguments, lies, and deaths caused the family to drift.

Used to get on well with my cousin, he’s a year younger than me, we practically grew up together, more like brothers, but after spending three days with each other, we’d irritate each other. We had a stupid little argument in his van in Kent, tried texting him since, and he’s ignoring me!

Same here, only it was my mother with someone half her age… The Gay Uncle thing, same here,… Must be something in the water.

Thinking about it, there’s a gay on mums side, a lesbian on dads side, wonder if somewhere along the line there’s a Bi-sexual… :-k

just wondering, my family is italian, well on my mums side, hardly talk to anyone on my dads side, my mum reckons every family is the same, but i am thinking its more an italian thing..

the constant fall outs.. the rows, the talking behind the back.. the 2 faced sister, and the lazy brother.. all the name calling.. is this just an italian thing, or is your family the same?

just reading the cordy and redwall post, kind of reminded me to post this, but somthing i have always wondered, what is a typical english family like?

I’m Italian, and there’s certainly a lot of secrecy & bitching behind people’s backs and fallings out etc….but my guess is that it’s just family life

families differ, we all have our ups and downs, family secrets, who we like and who we dont. it wouldnt be our families without it would it?
