Which of course raises the question of how our personal information is ‘used’ here. Seeing as you yourself are an authority here as well. Do guides pass this information between themselves and then into the hands of chatters they are friends with?
Some people, for completely non-suspicious reasons, like to keep details private. Are Guides and Hosts trampling all over this behind closed doors?There is a well known user who is always shouting about obtaining chatlogs and much more from the owner. I normally put it down to the typed BS of an attention seeker. But is it….
I would like to state again that any information gained WAS ON MY SITE NOT JUST CHAT, and as stated by Melody the only thing I passed on was the fact that the said person was not in the place they were claiming but in the UK. I NEVER passed on an IP address or other sensitive information.
In my time on here as an authority figure I have NEVER EVER and will NEVER EVER divulge personal information about chatters, even to other guides. I will ALWAYS respect members confidentiality because this is not my site and therefore I am only an employee not an owner.
What I decide to do on MY SITE is my business and nothing to concern the members here on Just Chat, it is usually done for the security of the site especially if someone who was a member on my site had access to the private sensitive area where members personal blogs etc are found, this area is not available for all to read and access to this secure locked area is only granted by invitation once a member has been chatting a while and is liked by the others, it is certainly not available for new members and guests to read. I thought the members had a right to know what had happened, and once again NO PERSONAL DETAILS of the individuals concerned were divulged such as IP address, email etc.
I cannot help it if the people concerned happened to be members of both sites, and I think everything has been blown out of proportion by certain individuals on here who should not be concerned about what happens on another site.
I think that the subject should be closed and put to bed once and for all.

Not sure who ur implying who is a bully sarah BUT a bully is something i am not and from i can see the ppl avnt been named, I dont see how Melody telling them str8 is bullying, also iv sat in chat and watched the said 2 pass comments on others a few times so its no different ……..just saying@themaster wrote:

Unfortunately I have seen the people named in a chatroom…so it’s not a case of no one named no harm done.

I spoke in F2 about the fake picture, and made a cardinal mistake in that there was someone there who has taken this whole thing and began a witch hunt. Again I ask this individual and the other internet trolls to stop. There is no bullying here. I haven’t said anything that isn’t true. I searched a picture and it came up linked to lots of websites. Fact.
That is as far as it goes as far as I am concerned.

Melody you only spoke about what lots of chatters already thought anyway I don’t recall anyone getting angry over sugar being outted as a fake……just sayingWe could be talking about anyone, I don’t particular care about the couple involved, they’re inconsequential to me :lol: I’m discussing the topic itself.
My gut feeling is, if it was a genuine concern, a real dilema that someone was thinking their friend should know something they had found out about…then if it was genuine, it would be discussed with the friend surely, and not posted about on a message board…for all and sundry (including myself) to come and respond to. I’m suggesting it was a mistake to put it on here, knowing that it would be blown out or all proportion (and I’m sure Mel would be the first to admit she’s been on here long enough to know that’s what happens).
It’s a chatroom with a message board – we all know if something on here/said in there is posted about it’s going to cause gossip and speculation and lead to nastiness from some people (as has already been requested by Mel for certain people/trolls to stop witch -hunting) that in my opinion is bullying!
Why you jumped to the conclusion that I said you were bullying people Lucy is anyones guess! :shock: Don’t be so para woman!
