Which of course raises the question of how our personal information is ‘used’ here. Seeing as you yourself are an authority here as well. Do guides pass this information between themselves and then into the hands of chatters they are friends with?

Are Guides and Hosts trampling all over this behind closed doors?There is a well known user who is always shouting about obtaining chatlogs and much more from the owner. There’s keeping things private and there’s taking the urine out of ppl……….and just because he or she is a guide here doesn’t mean they can’t do what they want with their own site, ppl will alwayssss be suspicious of ppl with a bit of authority its how life is….. I was friends with HT when she was a guide and not once did she ever give me any information about chatters as much as she loves me :) and whoever the user is who constantly shouts about obtaining info frm the site owner is chatting shytee, why wud the site owner risk the downfall of his site for an indivudual chatter? Iv had random abuse saying i knw ur ip i knw where u live and its like zzzzz find a new threat u freakk lol and anyway Melody didn’t name the fake couple on this thread :) just sayin
There are some extremely shady manipulative characters on this website alone, worldwide it is a pandemic. Best thing to do is trust no-one and work your way up from there.
Even the guides and hosts are gossipers?

certainly is!! and I trust no one on here until I decide otherwise…….just sayingif yr going to make up a fake persona in here u have to be very clever and think before you type. It wasnt down to Melody or said guide that this couple were undone they said a few things in room that couldnt possibly be true if they were who they said they were, there were a few red flags b4 this, although i do take the point if guides have our details they should be kept confidential if they dont and release private details who knows what danger they could put a chatter in as weve all seen threats are rife in jc. although most i know are idle threats.
Ok let’s just pause and bring this all back into perspective.
No one has ever said that their relationship was a fake. They could well be having a relationship, and if they are and are happy then they are truly blessed.
The fake part comes in when the photograph of one of them which was posted on a 3rd party closed membership site by the other of them looked too professional to be real. When you open Google images there is an option to put a picture into it and it will search the internet for it. I tried this with my own pictures as I was concerned this would bring access for all and sundry to my facebook and twitter accounts but it does not. When I googled the image being passed off as this chatter it came up with several links to hairdressing websites.
Another chatter has since told me in pm that maybe this chatters image has been used for immoral purposes by websites. If that is the case (which seems far fetched to me) they need to take out a court proceeding against all of these sites.
Now on to the IP issue. The IP of this chatter was searched on another website. It has nothing at all to do with Just Chat and similarly it makes no bearing on whether the person was an authority figure on Just Chat, as the owner of the other site they chose to tell me as a member of the other site. I have not been given personal information. I was not given an IP address only an approximate location of this person, namely in the UK and not abroad as has been said in chat. I fail to see how this is a breach in confidentiality any more than Desmondy telling the whole of Forum 2 about an image of me on my facebook account in a swimsuit. (Works both ways Des).
I would like to further add that I only spoke about the photograph and the IP because I thought perhaps someone was being played. If I was wrong then I apologise. I would also like to ask that all of the chatters who have now began a hate campaign against this couple and anyone involved with them should stop. I am sure they had their reasons for the fake image, but the wave of immaturity which has been directed at certain chatters associated with them is utterly pathetic.
Since voicing my opinion there have been multiple chatters saying that they had suspicions about the individual with the fake picture, I would like to add that I had no suspicions about this person and found them to be nothing but pleasant in the chat rooms, my only concern was the images being passed off as them, and posted by their partner. It is sometimes better to remain completely elusive than to post a fake image especially one so very obviously fake.
The couple were nice sociable chatters and very pleasanat i agree, i honestly do hope they are happy together, but if there not they may have had good reasons for saying wot they did …… together or apart i wish them happyness.
but they did state in chat they had met …. so i think both knew the image wos not of any chatter … so i dont think one of them was trying to play the other ….. but tbh i dont really know who was played if anyone im confuddled as per
