For all you Facebook addicts – sorry, members – there is a nice little scam going around by e-mail at the moment.
How it works is: you get an e-mail, allegedly from “Facebook support” (or similar) telling you that you MUST update the details on your account or it will be deactivated.
You are asked to open a “zip” file, and extract a file called “facebook.exe” and run it.
Bet you can’t guess what THAT will do to your computer !!!!
Bottom line is that is a total complete and utter fraud, intended to infect your computer
BTW: NEVER EVER EVER open a ‘zip’ file without taking out life insurance first. 99.999 times out of 100 they will contain a malware program that will total your computer in one way or the other.
