Mothers who go to far with the protection of their child, a child needs to learn right from wrong, I remember teachers from my youth, we feared them, we also knew that things would be sorted out fairly, there is far too much red tape, it is the do gooders that caused this, there isn’t even a deterant from misbehaving. Long gone are the days that if a child told their parents they had been hit by a teacher, they would get another for getting into trouble. PATS is a typical mother that I am refering to, decking teachers? Isn’t there any respect in this world anymore?
Becky don’t follow me round, thinking you have to prove me wrong on every point I make, I have been a brunt of your hormones before, your ranting and granny sweats are not pretty.
I asked a simple enough question where is the problem in that?Dont try start on here.
13 September, 2006 at 11:54 am #241290listen peeved……………..dont give me that bollocks about dicipline and respect. it works both ways. my kids were brought up to stick up for themselves and not be bullied…….that includes by adults as well as other kids. when some bloke whos idea of discipline in his class includes pokin an prodding my 8 yr old daughter in the chest cos she accidently trod on someone elses painting.then yes i will deck the coont.an any parent who stands back and lets thier kids be humiliated by so called *betters*.have only got themselves to blame when the child then decides school is a place to fear. oh an btw………AFTER i had politely requested a meeting with this teacher and he made me wait half anhour whilst he finished his break time cuppa……then stood with his arms folded and a sneer on his face whilst i politely told him i objected to my small daughter being prodded…….it turned out………that other kids had been subjected to his disipline.but had been to scared to speak up. this was of course after i had realised he wasnt worth spending my time trying to be polite to.an he got a left hook. an yes he got a taste of his own medicine from someone his own size….and i’m sorry to burst your bubble but my kids all grew up to be responsible adults with good jobs…………probably because they were taught to stand up for themselves and not be patronised or humilated.

Peeved, teaching your child right from wrong is one thing, and a good thing, kids need to learn that…BUT, bullying is quite another. As for fearing the teachers, again, IMO thats totally wrong. Respecting the teachers, sure, of course, but they shouldnt be terrified of them. And just for the record, if that sort of thing ever happened to my daughter, I certainly would NOT hit the teacher. I,d certainly loose my temper and yell at her yes. I send my kids to school to be educated, not bullied and terrified.

13 September, 2006 at 12:04 pm #241294This is quite right PATS (and others). Teachers SHOULD be given a taste of their own medecine and the sooner the better. If you can’t do it personally, you can always get a friend or relative to go down there and smash them one in the face.
What’s wrong with going down to the school and giving them a bloody good left hook. That’ll teach the bastards to bully our children.
If you report a teacher for bullying you can get them dismissed and totally ruin their carreer, and everybody will back you up all the way. get rid of them now before they do any more damage to innocent little children.
We don’t need discipline in schools, we need our kids taught stuff and spoken to nicely.

13 September, 2006 at 12:08 pm #241296If I were a teacher, I’d insist that the hunkiest male teacher in the school do a 100 press ups, whilst I lay underneath checking he was doing them correctly! 8)
13 September, 2006 at 12:16 pm #241297I think PATS did the right thing, as she said he got a taste of his OWN medicine from someone his OWN age. People weather it be teachers or not who pick or bully kids have something worng somewhere, a power trip to make someone so scared of you well personally it makes me sick and PATS i would do the same thing. And before peeved goes on about council, fat, hubby sha gging blondes or whatever, i work my hubby has a very very very high job we raise our children with respect and more importantly SELF respect. If no one respects you then at least you have morals! AS I DO before you try and twist the knife.
