i think teachers should be allowed to punish the kids but not to humiliate the kids. thats what this was all about. i agree some of the kids know they cant be punished and really play on that. i want my kids to respect their teachers but not for the teachers to humiliate my kids.

Surely its a mild form of abuse. The poor lad must have been beside himself. It doesnt help that he is so young and was probably scared, embarassed and felt a total p r a t to boot.
Have you thought about reporting this teacher, because joke or no joke it was bang out of order.tell his mum to do what i did batty. go down there an level the coont. :D if i want my kid doin press ups i;ll join him to a gym.

I know kids can be naughty and need detention or something BUT to have that just for mixing up your alphabet?!?!?!?!?! WTF is schooling coming to??????

The whole point of my thread was, what that teacher did wasnt about discipline, that had nothing to do with it. It was all about power. She did it because she could. You dont do things just because you can, you do them if they are right, and that, IMO was WRONG. And peeved, I,m all for discipline in schools, but, that wasnt. It was bullying. IMO. And yes PATS, if she ever did anything like that to my daughter, may GOD help he is all I can say. :twisted: :twisted: If I find out what the kids mum did I,ll tell you all. :wink:@peeved wrote:

I was never naughty at school or had a report card :D And my oldest who is nearly 5 is a very sweet good girl and if she carries on this way she will be fine. But on the other hand the teahcers have the power and they will do what they want be right or wrong. The press up thing was sickening and BULLYING and i thought teachers were supposed to stop bullying!
