Hi
Seeing as last year’s JC Eurovision commentary went down so well, I thought I would give it another bash this year.
Lets keep this thread updated over the evening with your comments and thoughts.
Less than an hour to go….
Can you feel the electric atmosphere, tension and excitement?!?
12 May, 2007 at 6:41 pm #270353I can feel that Terry Wogan has ”had a few” already to get himself in the mood.
12 May, 2007 at 6:50 pm #270354I couldent be more excited if those bird’s from Girls Aloud were Lessing out in my Living Room.
12 May, 2007 at 7:07 pm #270355Ive not watched it for about 10 years. Think il watch it tonight so I can laught at Wogan taking the pi/ss outta the foreigners :D
12 May, 2007 at 7:07 pm #270356Well so far we are given the outstanding advice of not voting until we have heard all the songs… odd one that, eh?!?
Oh and in case you forgot the event is held in Helsinki, we are kindly reminded about 20 times.
Roll on the first song, here comes Bosnia & Herzegovina…
12 May, 2007 at 7:12 pm #270357And we’re off – the crowd go wild, and who can blame them as the spectacular known as the Eurovision Song Contest enters it 52nd year!
Bosnia put up a marvellous interpretation of heaven, with guitar players and hippies singing and jiving in a pool of smoke and clouds.
Bless them….
Next up Spain!
12 May, 2007 at 7:15 pm #270358The Spain act explodes into life with a bunch of lads all dressed in white. Their purity must be questioned however, when they begin to shake and sway as they sing their little hearts out.
The all love their ‘Vida’ apparently – and who can blame them? As the performance grinds on though, we can only worry for the safety of the female ‘drummers’ who do not seem to understand how drums actually work. The pyrotechnic flames are getting ever closer to the ladies… which may well be for the best!
Next up – Belarus….
12 May, 2007 at 7:19 pm #270359First we see some screens and some mysterious ladies… are we going to see some magic? Will he make the audience disappear?
Well perhaps – a man in black seems to appear from nowhere, and seems to make love to himself whilst singing to us all.
Apparently he doesn’t want to lose the magic, or lose the feeling. Unfortunately the way he is touching himself, I fear the end may come sooner that he hopes.
Our man seems to keep on singing ‘Yes I’m Willy’ instead of ‘Yes I’m Willing’ … or is that the song’s hidden meaning? I guess we will see when the votes come in.
Next up … Ireland….
12 May, 2007 at 7:21 pm #270360Im gonna kill myself if you plan to give a running commentary on every song.
12 May, 2007 at 7:22 pm #270361Geeeez this Irish one is making me nod off……… is that Chess the lead singer?
