Well the Irish voted yes
Im still in a top grade rage at this.
But I think Im actually more upset that there was a less than 50% turn out at the polls
    Im utterly disgusted at this.
I personaly know people who didnt even bother to go and vote becase..get this…they actually thought that by not voting they were sticking there middle finger up at the government??
    what a crock of shit.
Now whats boiling my blood at the moment is people (that i know) who did not vote to save there country, but who will follow a patetic football team to Poland and have the fookin gawl to wave a tri colour around
It actually makes me physicaly sick at the thought of it.
There is a photo going around the Irish facebook pages of the tri colour and on each of the colours is the flag of the 3 countrys Ireland will be playin in the Euro’s. Some fans proudly display this on there page :?
What they dont realise is that the Irish tri colour will now be blended with the German

    I voted no of course.
But in a funny way Im glad the yes vote got threw, becease now I want to see all the other bits our Irish government “choose” not to tell us.
The shyte is really going to hit the fan now.
We were told that the yes vote would help create jobs? HA HA HA . Cant wait to see the back lash from that.

    Speaking of Imigrants…

Not so long ago I was a manager of a retail store here in Dublin.
When I started there was maybe 1-2 polish girls working there.
few months later my bos told me and the other managers that we were to become more strict with the staff and hawl them in for disaplinary meetings if they steped out of line.
We all at the time just asumed that the boss wanted to run a tighter ship.
But by the end of the year 90% of the staff were replaced by polish workers.
Why? Becasue they will work 80 hours a week on min wage, and never ask for a pay rise.
    and that is a FACT.
3 of the girls that worked for me (polish) lived in a 3 bedroom rented house with 13 other people  2 of them were on social welfair and recived rent supliment so there rent between them all was no more than 25 euro per week.
And I know for a fact that between them all the were using the western union money transfer that we had in the store to send 2,800 back to poland AND THAT WAS EVERY SINGLE WEEK WITH OUT FAIL.
we all know that they were not the only ones doing that and id bet my life on it that its the same in the UK.

    rant over….for now

If it wasn’t so tragic, it’d actually be hilarious. I’m usually a great fan of comedic irony, but this is just..

All in such a short space of time too.. ROI’s timeline:

    EARLY 20TH CENTURY:
    -Ireland wants independence.

-Ireland commits atrocities to gain independence.

    -Ireland gets independence.

    MID 20TH CENTURY
    -Ireland isn’t happy with independence.

-Ireland commits more atrocities to gain independence even though they’ve already got independence but they’re unhappy with the independence they have because it’s boring or what ever and they’ve got nothing to bomb any more so in the name of independence bomb everything in sight anyway to get a different kind of independence to the independence they’ve already got

    EARLY 21ST CENTURY
    -Ireland signs away independence.

Oh the tragic irony of it all!

.. Are you seriously suggesting that in the short space of just one century, Ireland wanted independence, then, no longer wanted independence and wanted to be ruled by somebody else again?

You’ve got to be trolling. This generation of Irish didn’t want to give their independence away you crackpot

They did it through blind ignorance, coerced into it, subterfuge, brainwashing, scaremongering.

This generation didn’t just wake up and go “oo I know, I’m bored of having my own country, let’s sign our independence away to Brussels”.

It’d probably be less tragic if they did! The tragedy is they’ve blindly walked into enslavement. Or rather, blindly forced into it.

    Thanks for the giggle though.

    No I didn’t?

Please bold the part of that quote where I said they wanted it.

You’re the one who said they wanted it.

I said they signed their independence away. I didn’t say they wanted to.

Infact, I quite clearly stated the contrary.

They did it through blind ignorance, coerced into it, subterfuge, brainwashing, scaremongering.

Where in the above statement do you see the words “they wanted it”?

    Sober up.

    Hi, Tom!!

    Hi, Sceptical!!!

I’m not xenophobic, I just hate the French b*stards!! Bananas are SUPPOSED to be bendy!! And God damnit if I want to buy knobbly carrots, then knobbly carrots I will buy!! AND I WILL BUY THEM IN LBS!!! Back off, France!! Leave our bendy bananas and knobbly carrots alone!! :x

Bananas and Cucumbers are and always will be bendy, carrots will always be knobbly. The EU, Common Market etc has never even suggested they should be otherwise, it’s an urban myth. Of course Tom if you have reliable sources for your information I will apologise and retract.

The absence of reliable sources suggest either an irrational bias or a hugely ironic sense of humour on your part, neither of which will be tolerated.

I didn’t say you said they wanted anything.

However, they voted for it, so they obviously wanted it.

    Sober up and keep up.

Having shopped in several continental supermarkets, markets, shops etc I have found that generally there is a very surprising lack of identical, uniformly sized and precisely coloured and unblemished fruit and vegetables. They come in all sizes, shapes and colours….

It can be very alarming when used to the opposite being the case almost everywhere in Britsh shops.

For example … neatly packaged and exact same sized tomatoes and apples all in row. Just an observation…..
