Better in than out I say!
May I ask why?
The Swiss don’t belong to the EU and still trade in Europe (as do the Chinese..)
It costs this country close to £50,000,000 per day to be a member of the EU. Please explain why we need to be ‘in’.
31 May, 2012 at 2:45 pm #497886I didnt know it cost that much to be in the EU.
The single currency was great on paper but clearly doesnt work.
Fair trade and the protection of the rights and interests of the nationals of its Member States is a good thing though.

So the rights and interests of the English people are protected by being a member of the EU?
Are you serious..?
The English lost a lot of their rights after 13 years of Labour. And being part of the EU.
If it wasn’t for the EU and the millions of migrants from eastern Europe (and the cost of having them here..) we would be a lot better off.

The Poles I’ve met had jobs in Poland before moving to the UK to put Britons out of work. But don’t let that insignificant little fact get in the way of your generalisations…

If they are working and giving back to the English in taxes well, you cant really give out about costing money since their brining it in.
So if your govenment dont put something in place to stop your employer from firing you and hiring someone willing to work for less thats the immigrants fault!!!31 May, 2012 at 3:22 pm #497891@terry wrote:

So tell me…if you could dramatically improve the financial quality of life for you and your family by working abroad, you’d say “oh no, I couldn’t possibly leave this job in my home country paying peanuts, I’ll stay here and live on the breadline thank you”?
As for putting Britons out of work, most of the businesses I know that employ Eastern Europeans do so because they can’t find any Brits to do the jobs because they can either “earn” more on benefits or they think the work is too demeaning or hard. The Eastern Europeans seem to take more pride in earning good money and supporting their families through their own hard work than many Brits do…

I read somewhere the the Romanian government (in view of the boost to the Polish economy) are paying the transport costs of Romanian migrants wanting to work in the UK. So that’ll be even more billions of pounds lost to the UK economy.
We can’t addord to keep paying migrants when there are Brits out of work.

LOL i work for the Council, and we have an ENGLISH woman claming for her kids who still live in ENGLAND. How much are you’s costing us.
This is now about the polish or the EU????
This world is big enough for everyone Tel, get over yourself. we are all human and have the right to live, work and have respect.
And as Jen said ” because they can either “earn” more on benefits or they think the work is too demeaning or hard.” (as we too have that problam here) the Irish got rich in the late 90’s early 2000’s and now are too snobby to do low paid jobs, but only give out about forigenrs doing it when they NOW have feck all money.
