Must admit…the un – watered down versions of Grimm’s Fairy tales were very horrific. They didn’t call them Grim for nothing…LOL Apart from that though, once again, great ,vivid imagination was used to tell the story’s and quite a few based around real events like The Napoleonic Wars. I get confused some times with the Grim Brothers and Hans Christian Anderson.

22 December, 2017 at 6:31 pm #1083390I think, even today…a lot of horror films or the like still get a lot of inspiration from Grim’s Fairy Tales. Can’t even remember what the story’s about properly but one that always springs to mind that sticks in my mind to this day is the story of the Tin Soldier……great story…must look it up again.
22 December, 2017 at 6:46 pm #1083392Back to the far away tree and Saucepan is dismayed as he has lost his land and stuck o nthe Far Away Tree…..Jo’s face explodes and Moonface says..did you take a toffee shock? LOL he even offers Jo another one to which Jo declines……..Moonface announces that Saucepan will live with Mr watzizname on the tree and every one cracks up as Saucepan suffers the same fate as Jo by eating a toffee shock.
Saucepan man is deaf so when Moonfae tells him he’s eaten a Toffee Shock…Saucepan replies….A Coffee Clock? LOL And every one falls about laughing…..no one asks Moonface’s permission to go down the slippery slip any more…they just take it for granted.
Tune in for more innocent fun as i read chapter xv11 : an invitation from Silky and Moonface…what could this mean? I’m not sure i want to know…LOL
25 December, 2017 at 10:55 am #1083675Wow! this book is amazing…..it reads like a great action director..always moving on, always action and always……..keeps up the pace……..
Ok so Moonface feels sorry for getting every one into trouble and he invites every one to the Land of Take What you Want. The Pixies take all the gold whilst Silky takes a walking clock which must be significant later on……any way, Moonface bodges it and every one is displeased with his performance until they find a plane so they fly off but the plane gets tired so they land and no wayyy…Dame Slap catches them all and herds them all into her school of discipline. The food looks good until it turns into stale bread and water and all the characters get locked up……….but don’t worry…cause Silky’s clock comes to the rescue…..
But then smug Moonface has to put magic on it to make it fit the lock and they all rush to the plane but we can’t take off yet..oh no..Silky won’t leave without her clock so Dame Slap looks on in anger as all the characters fly off into the sunset…..
Some time later……..the red goblins have taken over the tree…….T.B.C
25 December, 2017 at 11:17 am #1083677Ok..so the red goblins have taken over the tree but don’t worry…the red squirrel has a part to play here and goes up the slippery slip and throws down the rope to which all the characters and the brownies climb up or get pulled and there are over 151 in Moonface’s room….don’t worry…brownies may be small or it’s a great big room…………
Moonface promises to give the Red Goblins his magic and as he opens the door every one rushes out and over whelms the goblins before they have time to warn the others at the bottom of the tree.
