Thought Ledley King was exceptional last night in that roll.
For me now he should stick with him along side either Lampard or Gerrard in centre midfield.Never both unless your playing 5 there.The wingers being Wright Phillips on the right and Wayne Bridge on the left when fit.Ashley cole at left back.Simply because he’s the best there and he links brilliantly with Bridge in them both going forward,both being left footed and both being able to cover defensivly for one another comfortably.Joe Cole on the left is rediculous.He can’t cross with his left foot.He comes back in on his right every time.This is no good when you have two little players playing up front as they need an early ball to beat a 6ft 4″ defender.
There is no place anymore for Beckham….he has become ineffective and doesn’t follow tactics and has no pace.He never threw a single cross into the area last Saturday from open play.The majority of his involvement nowadays is from set peices and we have Lampard who can do this along with a lot more.Wright Philips has pace and crossing ability to beat any full back.
Right back i’d have Carragher……not many people get the better of him and alongside Terry and Rio in centre defence would be quite formidable.He can also play anywhere along the back 4 so is a valuable player to have in any side if injurys occur.
Robinson in goal because he’s never let anyone down and his save against Wales fron Hartsons header was first class.
Owen and Rooney up front.
If we play 4-5-1 then put Gerrard and Lampard in the middle and drop Owen.

Problem is….Sven won’t drop his big names.
