Collective buying of power… I dont know much about it… but it sounds interesting…
Local councils or large groups of people buy power collectively. I think the idea is that because it is a large group they have a better chance of negotiating a better deal…. also it means that we would not have to keep looking for cheaper suppliers all the time to get the best deals.
Maybe we could extend this bargaining power to other things too.. one thing springs to mind…… Internet providers and maybe insurance… any ideas?
Not sure you would have much control over splitting them up again, say, if gas or elec was cheaper elsewhere – bet they tie you in for at least a year!! Dunno :?
