I’m always grateful to those parents who are considerate enough to bring in their tokens of appreciation for caring and nuturing their little darlings for the past year, the day before you break up. (It saves you having to carry so much home on the last day)!
I was on a roll today as they tripped in with beaming smiles and brightly coloured wrapped gifts and pretty cards, so eager for you to open them and exclaim how you’ve always wanted yet another bone china mug with handbags or fluffy dogs on!
I was appreciative on receiving a couple of bottles of wine, some smellies and the odd candle or two, the obligatory chocs of course (would’nt be the same without them)!
But then as Toby sauntered into the classroom, his white blonde hair shimmering in the sunlight, his unrelentless chatter and pride in his achievement was very endearing. His mother who has even whiter hair (courtesy of 100% peroxide mixed with nothing) followed close behind and proudly presented me with this!
However, I think I got the better deal as two of my colleague’s were presented with these by the older brother!
Good lord! How long before those beauties are filed away under B for bin or R for rubbish?! I wish i could share the montrosity i received at Christmas with you, alas my procrastination skills take over here.
We broke up on Wednesday and i’m still resisting the urge to count how many boxes of chocolates i have to give away to the relatives. (I dislike chocolate)
I must look like an alcoholic as i’ve counted 6 bottles of plonk and a bottle of malibu. The best gift i got were hand written/drawn cards and pictures from them as they watched Harry Potter on the last day.
Bless the little b’astards.

he he this could be funIndeed I do live near Silverstone Thin but infact work in Bedforshire the side that boarders Milton Keynes for your info. And yes it probably was poor judgement on my part to ridicule this child’s present but as I have a bird phobia I was kind of freaked out!
My other half is going away this weekend as he lives near Silverstone. (GP nightmare traffic weekend) I don’t blame him!

So, in that respect it is not a new thing. Only difference is we only had 1 teacher. 8)
