As only 50% of English people manage to pass an English GCSE, can we expect a mass eviction of anyone who fails this! or are we expecting an immigrant to be more highly qualifed than an indigenous northerner (or southerner)

A good rant indeed n not without some valid points! Interestingly on dispatches, British Indians contribute more (taxes etc) n take less (social, benefit etc) than White Britons! Makes you think dunnit :D

Absolutely Sharon..in fact a recent poll showed 3rd generation Britons MORE concerned about immigration than white Britons….but as the programme said, perhaps if we stopped looking at everyone as “British West Indian, British Muslim, British Indian, British White etc” n just said “British” then we move on a step (n I’m as guilty as anyone of doing it) n the colour becomes no more of an issue than what football team they support

More important here would be new laws specifically drafted to control the powers or assumed powers of all religions. Chief among these would be:

1) No child is born a member of any religion. Nobody may be assumed to be a full member of any religion until the age of 18.

2) No religion may claim that any unverifiable superstitious beliefs are facts.

3) No religion may promote derogatory or abusive attitudes towards non-believers.

4) The highest penalty any religion may impose on any member for transgressing religious rules is expulsion from that religion.
