Egypt football violence leaves many dead in Port Said

Many people have pointed out on various news programmes that this was more of a political disaster than one to be blamed on football hooliganism. There is a very strong rivalry between both the teams and has been for many years. The lack of security seems to be the reason that so many were let into the ground without being searched for knives or other weapons.

It seems to me for every step we have moved forwards since the 1970’s with regard to crowd violence, other countries have not learned from our mistakes. As for FIFA, hell they are a joke and have been for many years !!! Sepp Blatter is a disgrace and the whole of FIFA also.

PS….Whoever wrote the headline on the BBC Site tonight should be sacked…..I qoute….
