18 November, 2009 at 11:00 am #423888Many many years ago, in my childhood, I used to watch the TV series called “Callan”. It was an absolute ‘classic’ and incredibly well acted – with Edward Woodward in the leading role.
Years later, when I was a student, I had a holiday job working as a ‘chauffeur’ for the BBC. I had the priviledge of driving Edward Woodward home several times and I can tell you that he wasn’t in the least bit like his screen persona in “Callan”….. much to my disappointment. He was a really nice guy, chatty, amusing and an excellent conversationalist.
He of course won’t remember me (he can’t now anyway) but I shall remember him with great admiration. A true professional.

Love That Bit, about him not remembering, and couldn’t, even if he tried.. I’m going to conduct a Seance, call his spirit and ask of this is of course true.

19 November, 2009 at 6:55 pm #423892Patrick Swazye died, makin it 1-0 to the actors, then Michael Jackson and Stephen Gateley put the popstars 2-1 ahead. And now Edward Woodward has died,
That’s the equalizer!
