a very proud day
To Dean are born

Roles of Life (Stage Seven)In the mean time, the Sisters of the Holy Child
ran out of cash
Social Services bought the home
and our contracts
They moved us around for experience
with other clientele
Those with learning difficulties,the elderly
and emotionally disturbed as well
In my social life
I played many parts
Playing league TABLE TENNIS
SNOOKER and yes DARTS
No I have not given up football
I’m a COACH now you see
I play the odd charity match
sometimes I REFEREE
One day when at work
I am told to leave
I’m arrested as a SUSPECT
this I can’t believe
To those who have read “Worthless”
You will know what this is about
If you have not read it
please don’t leave it out
Now I’m getting tired
I’ll move on to stage eight
But not until the morning
I’m afraid you’ll have to waitby William A Edge

Roles of Life (Stage Eight)To court four times,I have to go
In my heart I feel so low
I will not touch, in case I’m called tactile
Words do not flow, I find it hard to smile
My Daughter Kim has had a divorce
My Son Dean follows the same course
My whole world is upside down
The lines get deeper with my frown
No case to answer I am told
But now I’m a shadow so dark and cold
To head quarters is my next call
To stand again and yet to fall
A VICTIM now and forever more
Someone now has slammed the door
I head for home,upon a train
A PASSENGER of life again
I have paid heavy ,for no crime
Will I recover in stage nineby William A Edge
13 May, 2006 at 10:47 pm #203780
Roles of Life (Stage Nine)In my demise,I start writing again
Does not remove, but eases the pain
I am UNEMPLOYED and must find a job forsoth
I’m turned down my age is against me and I tell the truth
Kim and Dean have partners again
With their ex’s civility reigns
Kim’s man has a Daughter Charlotte ,I call her Granddaughter she’s glad
So now I become an ADOPTED GRANDDAD
Kim has a baby,its a little boy
Krisdien my Grandson,in my life there’s some joy
I find a job as a SECURITY GUARD
the work may be dangerous ,but not very hard
I gain NVQ and five certificates in IT
maybe life is getting better for me
I get promotion ,take on a new role
As a CONTROLLER in HQ control
Dean has a daughter Megan, that’s grand
Now I’m the the proudest man in the land
But my hours are long .the money is poor
I must find another job that is for sure
I get a job as a NIGHT PORTER in an hotel
Because I’m on my own its many other jobs as well
RECEPTIONIST,BAR TENDER,MANAGER too
Whether coming or going I have not a clue
I collapse am rushed to hospital twice
To give up my job is the advice
Now I am on eighteen tablets a day
Eight of them the pain to allay
Many roles I have not mentioned, but they’re the same as yours
Like all the many household chores
One day in the future ,I will return, then
That of course will be stage tenby William A Edge

All alone
Nobody loves me
Nobody talks to me
Going to the community centre
Meeting many new people
Making new friends
in love
HappyFat
Rather obese
always big boned
On the plump side
Off to the local gym
Eating the right food
Feeling much better
Loosing weight
SlimDuffer
Can’t read
Can not write
Or do any sums
Going to attend night school
Buying some reference books
Learning real fast

Life LinesWhen at first we go to school
We learn to draw LINES with a rule
The bell goes at the end of break time
Find your class assemble in LINE
We all learn to read and write
By following LINES from left to right
In math’s we work out an equation
By using LINES of a different persuasion
Misbehave in class and be a pest
One hundred LINES is what you’ll get
You take part in games and sport
To be ruled by LINES on track, field or court
We get grubby heaven knows
On a LINE Mom pegs our clothes
When you find a job you’ll be fine
If you learn to tow the LINE
Join the forces to learn a trade
And stand in LINE on parade
Learn to drive as girl or fellow
To be ruled by LINES of double yellow
Here’s your contract ,there’s your wage
Sign the dotted LINE at the foot of the page
Go on holiday, your clothes you pack
Travel by airLINE or LINES of track
Perhaps the most important LINES in life
Are marriage LINES to husband or wife
Grow old with style and grace
Develop LINES upon your face
So through life do not be fooled
It’s by LINES that we are ruledby William A Edge
