    I’ve had a WONDERFUL time

To all the wonderful people on this site (Yes and you)

When I lay me down to die
    Celebrate please don’t cry
Send me home on a high
For I’ve had a wonderful time

    For scholars I have admiration
    So I enjoyed my education
    Gained many qualification
Yes I’ve had a wonderful time

    Electrical engineer City Guild’s
    Child care officer ,horrific chills
Security controller with a few thrills
How I’ve had a wonderful time

    Red Cross nurse with devotion
    I.T. skills without promotion
    F.A. Coach my latest motion
Oh I’ve had a wonderful time

I played many sports ,my best I have done
I’ve studied , all arts and enjoyed every one
I’ve performed as Elvis gee that was fun
Yes I’ve had a wonderful time

    I’ve traveled around,seen many places
Met lots of people and remember their faces
Mixed with people of all races
And I’ve had a wonderful time

My Children have given me no strife
    My Grandchildren enhanced my life
And together with my sweet adorable Wife
    I’ve had a wonderful time

So when the time has come to part
Rock and roll me for a start
To each one I leave my heart
For I’ve had a wonderful time

    FELICITY PRINGLE

There’s a girl in our village
    Felicity Pringle
    She’s so plain and boring
    she will remain single

    The girls all giggle
    when she pass’es by
    The boy’s never date her
    they don’t even try

    Then into the village
    a new family came
    Mr and Mrs Dawkins
    and their son named Shane

    Now Shane was a biker
    each day could be seen
    Riding with pride
    his mean machine

    The girls all dreamed
    of riding pillion some day
    They waved and hooted
    when he came their way

    One day by the green
    was an terrible sound
    One almighty bang
    Shane’s engine broke down

He stood by the road side
    scratching his head
    What’s wrong with your bike
    Felicity said

    I don’t know he said
    I have not a clue
    My engine won’t run
I don’t know what to do

    Felicity from her bag
    produced some tools
    And over his engine
    began to drool

    Half hour later
    all covered in oil
    She looked up at Shane
    with a knowing smile

    You’ll be OK now
    take it for a spin
    Will you come too
    Shane said with a grin

    Now she rides pillion
    in all sorts of weather
    And looks very fetching
    all dressed in leather

    Felicity’s the envy
    of all the girls sigh’s
    She also the desire
    of all of the boy’s

    Weekend Biker

    Say what you like
    When I’m on my bike
    I couldn’t give a damn

With the wind in my face
    I’ll pick up the pace
And I won’t get caught in a jam

    When I’m on the straight
    The feeling is great
    Leaving the city behind

    Without a care
    Take in the fresh air
    A wonderful way to unwind

    As I reach the bend
    A thrill it will send
To the hairs on the back of my neck

As I lean to the kerb
    Careful not to swerve
    Keeping my balance in check

    When I reach my street
    I’ll put up my feet
With a glass of my favorite blend

    Then all through the week
    My engine I’ll tweak
    Ready for next weekend

    A Friend

    Someone who tells the truth
even though you don’t want to hear
    They say how it is
even if this forms a tear

They speak to you each day
    if only to say hello
    They can read your signals
when its time for them to go

    They consider your feelings
    by trying not to impose
    They notice your hair
and the style of your clothe’s

They will not build you up
    when it’s not due
    When others run you down
    they’ll see you through

    If your really crap
    a shoulder they’ll lend
    That’s when you know
    you have a friend

    SHE

    Her eyes sparkle
as stars in a clear night sky
Yet I can not see them

    Her hair shines as silk
    under the moonlight
Though I can not touch it

    Her lips are like
    strawberries and cream
But I can not taste them

    She has such a glow
    and aura about her
Least I can not smell her scent

    Her words speak volumes
Alas I can not hear them

She is so warm and cuddly
But I can not hug her

    We are so far apart
    Six thousand miles
    Across the atlantic pond

    We may never meet
But I feel I know her

    Unpoetic

    I sit here absent minded
    just staring at my cup
    Trying to work out
    why my poetry dried up
    I can still remember
    once there was a time
    When everything I thought about
    turned into a rhymne
With pen in hand I’m willing
but don’t know what to write
    This is the situation
    from morning until night
    Please be patient with me
I’ll give it my best shot
    I need some inspiration
    but it’s what I havn’t got

    Why Wish So

    A sillyism

I wish I was a fly on the wall
    WHY?
    Fly’s don’t live long
    they usualy get squased
    so that’s not very clever

Why not wish you were a clock on my wall
    Its kept well oiled
    has a good ticker
    and will possibly last forever

I wish I was in your shoes
    WHY?
    They’re a different size
    my feet sweat
    and they’re not genuine leather

Why not wish you were in my house
    Its all mod cons
    the mortgage is paid
and its shielded from the weather

    GRADUATION DAY

    Susie (Pinkpeeps)

    It’s graduation day
    And I feel so proud
    That’s my Daughter there
I want to shout out loud
    But I do not
    Instead I settle down
    How fitting she looks
    In her cap and gown
    As her name is called
A lump forms in my throat
A tear rolls down my cheek
    I fiddle with my coat
    That’s my little girl
She’s achieved what I could not
    I feel so ecstatic
What a wonderful daughter I’ve got
At last I am at ease
    I can clap and cheer
    Theres such an ovation
    I shed another tear
    Now I can shout
    That’s my pride and joy
    Look forward to the day
When I can cheer my little boy
    The pictures are taken
They will take pride of place
So when she’s fled the nest
    I can see her face
Now I can take her home
I’ll give her such a treat
Then I can relive the day
When I put up my feet

    Parting words

    Tis with heavy heart
    That I leave thee
    Will thee wait for me
    That I may return triumphant
Thus lay to thee my trophy
Pray for me as I do battle
For I know not where it may end
I pledge to thee my heart and soul
Till we meet again my sweet
God willing I will return with great haste
To thee my sweet adorable wench
    That we may lay together
Hence bare fruit of each other
Tis this that will see me through
    Till I return then
