I won a very very nice Berghaus Gore Tex jacket fairly cheaply on eBay the other night. Fleece inner included and worn only once, immaculate it is and a nice grey colour which goes with most things. Their site lists it at £200+.
The trick with eBay is to wait until the last 10 seconds before you bid because it is to late then for anyone else to put a counter bid in. I do love a bargain me.
Just a random post about… eBay, to lighten the mood.

22 October, 2017 at 3:59 pm #1076139You can find some nice deals, the only thing I don’t like about eBay is sellers who are showing as being from the UK but when you buy you then realise they are from China (or somewhere overseas) and the item is going to take a month+ to arrive. eBay really need to sort this out, it’s the same with Amazon sellers. As buyers we should know exactly where our purchases are coming from as some of us need something fast, like in a few days. I know why they do it and list as being from UK because they get more sales, it’s misleading though.
Edit: The one good thing about the Chinese sellers is you usually get quite a good price. I have no problem buying from them if it was an item I was not in a rush for.

22 October, 2017 at 4:08 pm #1076141Oh I hate that King, Chinese sellers masquerading as UK sellers, then 4-6 week wait for delivery. I never buy from overseas sellers with less than 99.5% feedback, specially power sellers, but I buy my 18650 batteries for my Cree torches straight from source in China and save a lot of money.

Have been on ebay maybe 14 years now.
Only once a bad product or misrepresented.
Things i have purchased from china, shock me as i get in 2 weeks, not a month. All good inexpensive products which would cost me here 4x price.

22 October, 2017 at 4:26 pm #1076150Indeed Linda, ironically here in UK most electrical goods are made in China etc anyway and then just sold at a much higher mark up. My protected batteries cost £5-6 each straight from source from China, £12+ in UK for exactly the same brand, so it saves a lot of cash over a few years.

22 October, 2017 at 5:55 pm #1076213I have just bid £1.99 on an Emperor sized Versailles curved/upholstered bed with no reserve and which is “spelled” wrong in the listing, so not many, if any, will spot it.
Wish me Luck.
