Tis doing my head in TBH
18 May, 2006 at 11:16 am #219008Hey
I cannot replicate this myself when posting; perhaps you just need to try hitting the submit button only the once. Then we shouldn’t end up with double posts. Similarly, the posts process as per normal for me. Are you on a dial-up connection?

No – I’m on broadband.
It’s just weird – hit submit…sometimes the post goes through but takes ages (and I don’t always click twice, I have started reading a different window while I wait), sometimes I get ‘Cannot find server’
I thought it was just me but it looks like there is quite a few people with the same prob…you’ve not got that ‘miserabe member’ feature installed that I’ve heard about elsewhere have you???
Just reading the pages is fine though – works as normal.

*Note to self – start triple posting!)
18 May, 2006 at 9:10 pm #219013I have noticed that the posting process is substantially slower with the new version of the Boards than with the old one – and I am on 8 Meg Broadband so it sure isn’t my router.
The double posting is mainly from the female users – could it be that they are ”flicking” their mouse button??? I understand that some of them are, unlike men, quite adept at flicking things !!!

I’m on a 1MB connection and posting here is like trying to gee up a snail on valium!
