Surely it all depends on what people decide is “many” ? 50,000? 500,000?  5 million ? 50 million ?

Maybe we should be saying too many people still live in abject poverty 🙄…. everywhere

    Fgs Mooosey..last time..

My brother as well as u.k. have residents whom are in higher pay brackets and big earnings known as the more wealthy upper class. Both countries. I used an example my brother most likely pays more taxes than 4x of your wealthy class citizens in u.k. this being our tax brackets much higher.. geez. All was saying that some wealthy deserve their hard working money. Why not. If Trump can help the honest ones, they pay dues and contributions then they should also be entitled to a break..

Scep made it sound like Trump supports only the wealthy. I am saying b.s. the honest hard worker deserves a little break..

    End of it..no more said…

Many people in the states live in abject poverty

it certainly isn’t the land of milk and honey

“Many people in the states live in abject poverty”. I don’t buy it. What is the basis of your claim? Hopefully not the bogus 2018 UN report.

Make it anything you want mush

i don’t feel the need to explain or justify any thing 😀

Fair enough, but just know that it’s not true. 😀

Anyone who runs a business is a liar…”

I think what Kenty means is the attitude of some, well a lot, of people in the room. Ie: how can she be chatting in here and going on holiday and shopping if she runs her own business ? She’s lying and showing off etc etc

These are the ones who don’t work in the main, for what reasons isn’t my business , however they obviously have no clue how any business runs and think if you eg: own a shop you should be stood behind a counter or stacking shelves 24/7, 52 wks a year ! Because they don’t understand it must mean that everyone is lying! End Of !

Yes, that is what Ms K means.

But she was saying much more than this, which is why End of can’t be End of.

She was writing in the context of a discussion begun by Linda about lazy immigrants and the honest hard working rich. My response was in that context, too.

Trumponomics has seen record levels of employment among other things, though our experience in the UK of a lot of insecure and poorly-paid jobs is that this blessing comes with a sting in the tail. However, this increase in employment is something that has been happening i the UK and much of the world. It started before Trump – under Obama. More people got new jobs in the last 29 months of the Obama Presidency than the first 29 months of the Trump presidency.

More importantly, there has been a significant increase in inequality in the US. Again, this can’t just be blamed on Trump. It’s been happening since the 2008 crash.

The economy of any country is affected by its government, but longer term trends are taking place which people are trying to understand. The big tax cuts for the people who already have a lot of wealth has inevitably widened the gap between rich and poor, though.

The apologists of the Heritage Foundation should be ashamed of themselves for their claims about poverty.

But first I want to see if anyone else cans ee what’s wrong with their claims.

Well she was saying a bit more yes, nothing like yours tho lolol,

“ but first I want to see if anyone else can see what’s wrong with their claims “
