Sorry Tadpole, it just sounded so perfect. I was obviously wrong! :( Would you consider swapping it for two hamsters complete with full pouches and a squeak free wheel?

Well im a dog owner and my dog does nothing in the street or anywhere public. She doesnt even sniff lamposts or trees.

Yeah i think you’ll find that thing in your cage is a budgie, TAD. Dogs are the things that crap all over the place and go ‘woof!’

I wonder if an alternative to the polythene bag is a bottle of strong disinfectant – so when the inevitable happens and you notice fido is beginning to walk with his back and front feet getting closer together and a hunched back, you have the disinfectant ready to pour on any offensive waste that might appear!!!

It was at you actually. I’m sorry, I just took offence at the “I knew I was going to get comments….” bit.

There ARE proper dog lovers (as opposed to dog “owners”, who sometimes don’t know the difference between a dog and a status symbol)

Us REAL dog lovers get upset when people who don’t like dogs critiscise us and our animals because of their experience with the a$$holes that we hate too.

I wish PB WOULD comment on this thread. It’s sure to be funny/irreverent/irrelevant and narcissistic.

well, the usual, u arn’t goin to turn round and say, yeah my dog shyte in the street and I just walk on hardly…. like a dog that walks past a lamppost without sniffing…. its natural for a dog to go sniffing and a pi’ssin, shytein… as stated yes its the owners responsibility… and yes ill agree there are few and far between people whom are like urself if this is the case…. and well done to u…

let the councils start fineing the dog shyters say the same as a smoker bein done for havin a foot on a step of a pub….. its certainly double standards…. like litter louters and dumpers…. the disrespectful people of this country…..

rite im effin goin lol the J kickin in…

Mr A….. i don’t care for any animals…. apart fae the 2 legged varity ie MAN lol but im sure you have ur pooper scopper on hand… here ya can clear the verbal diahorria ive just sprouted lol tc..

    .

Absolutely – there’s signs everywhere but no-one seems to get fined.

I had to laugh – there was an environmental inspector in my street looking to fine people for allowing their dogs to foul….but he sat in a van clearly marked explaining wexactly who he was…number of Dog walkers out in that hour..nil

Authorised enforcement officers patrol the Council area and are empowered to issue £40 fixed penalty notices to owners who don’t clear up their dog’s mess. The fine rises to £60 if not paid within 28 days.

The local police are working with the Council to enforce the law.

The legislation applies to all public land, including pavements, footpaths, roads, parks, recreational pitches, cycle ways, communal land, back greens, stair closes and any open land to which the public has access.

The Council provides free dog poop-scoop bags which are available in all Council offices, local libraries and community and leisure centres.

You flatter me unnecessarily Mr A….. however…. i was moved to remark upon the amazing similarity between dogs and their owners. I mean have you ever noticed that fat athsmatic Poodles that waddle along puffing and blowing are inevitably accompanied by fat athsmatic women waddling along also puffing & blowing.

It’s always fat old dogs that seem to be owned by fat old dogs.

Do you know anybody that looks like their dog, or is it the other way round???

I have the same problem as pats my dog no matter how long we are out WILL NOT go anyway except at home not that its a problemas he has acres to go in.
and PB thats so not true dogs and their owners are not alike my dog is fit handsome and gorgeous and he sometimes gets on my bed for a cuddle even though he is a fecking great german shepherd he still his mums baby at times lol, we all need cuddles sometimes u know :D
