13 July, 2008 at 1:32 pm #353565” Fate can involve things which are bound within and subject to larger networks. A set of mathematical functions arranged in a grid and interacting in defined ways is Fatelike. Likewise the individual statues in a larger work of counterpoint art are aesthetically Fated within the work. In each case Fate is external to every individual component, but integral to the network. Every component acts as Fate for every other component.
The entire world can be seen as existing within such a network, a kind of mythical spiderweb controlled by unseen forces. “
That’s a bit matrix-like but in the great Cheesecake of Life I believe we are given the biscuit base, yet each one of us is free to create an individually themed topping. Each ingredient acts as Fate for every other, yep that’s it………..
……err……i think……….
13 July, 2008 at 1:36 pm #353566Nah thats too Adam Smith and Haralambus for my thinking TB.. what about circumstances etc..

FAte…. Ive got this beautiful friend, she has this horrible disease called Chrones.
Its been under control the last 17 years Ive known her up to last year and she was on the critical list last week, and I was really down.
I was down cos she is one of lifes completely 100% good eggs, never hurt a fly, trustworthy lovely girl. got two young boys, the youngest only being 7 months old, and this thing she has has not given her time to enjoy her boys.
She dont deserve it, so as Pebs said, yer I do think some people are handed a real bummer of a life and its pretty upsetting.

No, if you set them free and they come back then what they’re saying is ‘There’s not much else out there, you’re second best but you’ll do’
