Do you believe in fate? That your path is set out for you and no matter what happens it will all eventually lead to the same end result?
Are you one of those people who thinks that everything, no matter how good or bad it may be at the time, happens for a reason?

Yes, Im a firm believer that life is mapped out. Id not like to know how mine will end though, do you think people would?
The old cliche.. life is like a book, has a beginning middle and end is true.

im not altogether convinced you end up where you should end up cos we have free will to stray which i beleive is what i have done and been thrown off course, not sure now there is enough years left to rectify it either :( hey ho ay x…… but i do believe things happen for a reason, we may not always know that reason but im sure there is one…..
13 July, 2008 at 1:07 pm #353557No, there’s no rhyme or reason to certain events, for me personally anyway. Things happen for no other reason that they happen. And if it is fate or destiny or whatever then they can both f**k off cos I certainly don’t appreciate them.
13 July, 2008 at 1:15 pm #353558Look at it this way, Pebbles: He that is born to be hanged shall never be drowned.
Or perhaps the great Jawaharlal Nehru offers sounder advice ‘Life is like a game of cards. The hand you are dealt is determinism; the way you play it is free will.’13 July, 2008 at 1:16 pm #353559i REALLY did smile in empathy with our cath there :) Im aware we are a couple of years older than you mardy teenagers ( shaz, pebbs.johnboy ) half my age ago i may have beleived in fate,,now i just think its someone having a laugh !! at MY expense :) keep smiling x

13 July, 2008 at 1:22 pm #353561I like your equesrian-revenge avatar, Pebbles. I was destined to type that right here and now!
13 July, 2008 at 1:22 pm #353562I’m just an old cynic – I refuse to believe in anything until I’ve seen it for myself
