Doa: a life laid bare

After reading cath 55 open letter and her touching tale of the “angry chatter” who lost this family in a curry house bombing, I feel the need to “share”.

Where to start……….

At the age of 12:

I found myself pregnant, alone and living on the streets of down town Swansea.

I made a living collecting waste paper and selling them for cash at the local recycling centre. Some of the motorist were not happy about me recycling there parking tickets before they had paid or seen them, but we all know car owners are never green.

At the age of 14:

I was pregnant again and had to give up work. I found a nice wheelie bin to live in next to the fish docks,( it was handy we never showered)

By the time I was 15:

I had 4 kids and still no job, just when things seem to be at there worst, I got my first break, topless dancer at the “Sticky Finger” club.

Soon doors were opening for me and we all moved out of the wheelie bin to a caravan in London.

That’s where I got my second big break, “The Sun” started using me has a page 3 girl.

But after 6 months, tragedy hit me.

I was run over by a run-away wheel chair. The doctor told me they had to cut of my right leg to save my life. I had to agree, all I could think about was my 5 kids growing up without me.

Being at home and recovering from it all, I did feel lucky to be alive.

After the kids had been turn down a few times at the local off-licence, I deicide we should stock up with life “essentials” but I should have know better. Death was still stalking me !!!!

I was next to the Tescos own brand cider, when a women talking on a mobile phone while pushing a trolley ran straight in to me. I lost my other leg.

Losing my second leg did hit me hard, but has my 9 year old son did remind me, I still had the other one.

Life may have been hard for me, but being a glamour model and full time mum of 6 more than makes up for it. I know being only 19 years old life has more in-store for me, but will take life up’s, downs and side to side with a plastic bottle of cheap cider and 40 silk cut like I always do.
