    ???

After all they have to take your order, cook, organise and package it, then drive through the bitter rain on a dodgy moped like superheroes trying to save the planet from destruction. Just to make sure that the onion bhajis aren’t too lukewarm.

Or are you the type of person who stands there fingering a large wad of notes while paying the poor soul from the penny jar. And claim that the promise to get the grub to you within 45 minutes was broken by a few seconds and that it should all be free. I know that some see the whole thing as a “Don’t spit in my food” tax but I’ve never thought like that.

A couple of quid isn’t much to give a poorly paid delivery driver, and those mopeds don’t run on air you know. I always tip – it seems fair when you’re asking them to pick up some milk and fags on the way and post some letters on the way back. But the main reason is that my stomach is rumbling and I’m too impatient to play the whole …” Oh do I have the right change“… game on a darkened doorstep.

As you can tell, I’m intrigued.

I’m the type of person who goes and gets it or cooks it himself thereby saving me the quandary of tipping
