GG – I have to agree with Kate here. A friend of mine is a regular visitor to Thailand and next door to where he lives there is a small business that produces (fake) labels for all the major designer ”names”. These are then sold on to the assorted manufacturers of ‘T’ shirts, dersses etc etc so that they can be ‘customised’. The clothes are then sold on to the UK etc as so-called genuine designer clothes.

As for the debate on designer clothes…………

……………Anybody who buys “designer” from these big companies that use factories in foreign lands such as nike, adidas etc support slave labour, rape, child abuse and terrorism – Because that’s what they’re paying for and funding.

ER…… you missed out drugs and prostitution !!!

For you to have that “nike” symbol on your t-shirt, a small child somewhere had to die for you to have it, or a woman beaten and raped.

Because they are the people who make them – SLAVES. Women & children are worked to death for 20 hours a day with little water and even less food just so some yob can buy a t-shirt with a tick on it using the money he stole from an old woman after viciously beating her to death.

I only buy clothes that are Made in GB, they may cost a little more, but at least you know the woman or man that made it, did so during normal working hours for a decent wage, able to go home at 4/5 PM to her/his children for a nice big meal.
