True, but in this instance (unlike the Denmark situation which I’m guessing you’re referring to) there was no malicious intent. That might, along with the fact that they’ve already taken action against the fan in question, go in their favour.

I think that UEFA wont go after celtic for this because it will make them look like they support diving lying cheats such as the keeper who apparently got hit by mike tyson disguised as a celtic fan!

    the stretcher!! ffs seriously!!!

Yeah, it’s a different situation to the Denmark and Inter Milan one’s. Milan dont seem to want to take it any further either. They’re obviously embarrased about Dida themselves.

I’d be surprised if we got anything more than a fine. Dida’s an absolute disgrace to his profession. It dosent excuse this fan, but all it was was a tickle.

It’s also a real shame that this has overshadowed a great week for Scottish Football.

I see Kaka is claiming that Dida was ‘beaten’ In fairness, he claims he never saw it so he’s probably just got lost in the moment.

Should this be the time for UEFA to take steps to prevent players running towards the fans in celebration? I can understand the reasoning behind wanting to do it, but it’s inevitable that fans will pile forward to get closer and as a result, fans often end up on the pitch. Would this clown have even been on the pitch if it weren’t for the wild celebrations taking place on the other side?

A lesson to cheats everywhere. A just verdict me thinks.

And it shows that they’re not afraid of upsetting the big boys either. I just wonder if this will be the case for all acts of this nature from now on or if it will only be rolled out on special occasions?
