31 August, 2007 at 1:33 pm #285604My first reaction when I switched the TV on that morning was ‘What the f**k is this? Saved By The Bell should be on by now….and it’s on every channel’ as I had just woken up and wasn’t paying any attention to what it actually was.
I’ll admit, at the time, I failed to see why it was such a big deal. I was 15 or so and didn’t think anyone really cared much about the royal family so I didn’t quite understand why there was this outpouring of emotion. Didn’t take me long to realize though.

Bloody royals, who do they think they are taking over the TV, we have enough of the old bag on christmas day.
31 August, 2007 at 7:28 pm #285606I was a soppycow too. I was in bed, hubby woke me and I went back to sleep going yer, alrite blahblah (hungover as usual)
Then later in the day when it hit me I was really upset!
I dont share the grief that was shown today by some of the “mourners” lol
But cried my eyes out all through the funeral, like the soppycow I am
31 August, 2007 at 8:34 pm #285607was baby sittin for me bro
when he came home in the mornin i said
‘diana’s dead as a dodi’
he just laffed
31 August, 2007 at 8:53 pm #285608I wasn’t gonna watch the funeral but then my aunt and uncle turned up unexpectedly so I had to or I’d never have heard the end of it.
ItsAndy – I heard that one a lot at school, along with ‘Dodi died and Di Died – try saying that ten times quickly’ The jokes were soon to follow ‘What have Diana and Glasgow Rangers got in common? Both crashed out in Europe’ Suddenly, I didn’t feel quite as insensitive for being angry at missing Saved By The Bell.
31 August, 2007 at 10:58 pm #285609Would soap lovers like a half hour programme on the drama of the royal family each week?
The murder of diana is more popular than the acting fakery JR ewing’s death.
Theres surely millions to be made out of commercial advertising.
Tune in next week when Camilar re-appears to gauge public support once again.
Will Charles ever tell Harry who his real father is, does Harry secretly know?
Will Harry’s real dad give-in and risk being murdered by MI5 so desperate to let the world know Harry is his son?
Will William buy a wig to cover his ever increasing bold patch?
Who will the princes date next and how will the girls cope with the limelight?
What about if one of the princes turned into a muslim, he’d have to keep it secret from MI5. If MI5 found out, they’d have to murder him like diana, what a story that would be.

The Murder? who said it’s murder?….the driver was drinking, and being chased by papparatzi, i think the term you was looking for was manslaughter at best, i think you been sipping on granpars medicine once to often.
