Probably not. I think our fans put too much pressure on our players. 5 of those who started on saturday were under 21. The average age was 23. that said, we dont have a midfield general or a left back…
27 September, 2006 at 10:00 pm #233104The danger of becoming a Forest (god forbid) or a Sheff Wednesday is more likely than becoming a Reading or Wigan at the moment.
Big fan base, lots of expectations, lots of debt and no chance of promotion
27 September, 2006 at 11:06 pm #233105Expectation is still huge here, although it does give way month by month, thats evident in the anger spouted.
We’ll probably not lose at birmingham on saturday, little pressure, and huge amounts on brum players. They’ll think they should be whopping us.

If Milan Manderic completes his takeover, we might see a repeat of the 94 play-off final, Leicester city 2 derby county 1.

Well ressurected Slayer – look at your last league table in December – see where the mighty Mackems were – to win the league from that position is nothing short of phenomenal !!
Good luck in the play offs anyway – I think you have lost a bit of momentum though – and the loss of Giles Barnes will have an effect
10 May, 2007 at 9:33 pm #233111Couldnt agree more Driv- Sunderland have done better than most people thought n even the fans have started to come back
Derby have delivered over and above their station this year which should really have been a year of consolidation- a promotion this year will be similar to Watfords- truly wonderful but always gonna end in tears
