Deluded, delusional… deceiving
Lies from the start,
a Russian night with cats of all kinds
exchanging tears and words of reassurance
into the night.No designs!
Not on a loved one, loved and cherished
for a blessed year,
and to prove it champagne and flowers
and long talks into the night.
Friends and companions
shared experiences.
But deceptions prowled darkly around every corner
even then, even way back then. And when we met, you hated me!
I knew, but didn’t know why.
Deluded.
Then the leave-taking
and with unseemly haste
the rush to pour out all the sordid truth
began.
Vile poison spreading from a desperate and rotting mind. And now, I understand.
You thought he was yours, but he could never love you,
With your fake heart, and sadly twisted mind.
Venom was your only recourse
and with lies and obfuscation.
Outpourings into any ear that would listen,
the vitriol of a woman scorned.
The hate burning gaping wounds into a frosty soul. When that vitriol should have been mine.
My vitriol.
For I was the one deceived and deluded.
I was the wronged, not the one who did wrong.
Into a world that had been perfect, a flaw was carved
and then forced into a gaping maw.
Destroyed.To what purpose?
For vanity and ego?
Because the picture the truth painted was less than perfect.
Because when the delusional delude themselves
only chaos can reign.
Truth becomes just a word.
The frightening thing is
that a lie told often enough, can deceive the deceiver
into believing it really is the truth.22 January, 2007 at 8:42 pm #257432I f*cking like that Minim, thats very apt for here isnt it?…well done!…
