deletion of polls and threads

i understood that the boards were a place that we could post our opinions on matters, hopefully with others responding in a mature and broadminded way by adding their own views…well yet again i have another thread deleted, ( third in three days i might add) is this a record ??
this poll is to find out whether or not you, as a jc user, agrees that threads and polls should be deleted. im sure that some will find the odd thread or poll offensive, but theres no harm in them replying to that affect is there. let me know what you think….your opinion does count :wink:

I don’t find much stuff offensive – If I don’t like something I will either state the fact or (mostly) ignore it.

The styuff that has personal insults towards other members I do agree should be removed…but I’m sure your ones weren’t like that sweetz

me ?? never squeezy…altho i did lose the plot a bit about the way a CG who shall remain nameless, allowed a young girl to be abused just cos it was his mate who did it…and then i started up a poll when the said mate got booted for good to find out if i was the only one who felt that way…. ohh and the other one was about why my post was deleted :D strangely there were lots who felt the CG was not a gd one an the mate was a n ob :D :shock: :wink:

If somebody is genuinely offended by a post and they lodge a complaint then of course it should be removed and the perpetrator should receive a warning with the option of deleting their account if they persist. But this willy-nilly deleting of posts/threads is starting to get a bit pathetic.

i have had threads deleted, i take offence to alot of stuff said on alot of places and if i dont like it then i ask a moderator to remove it

but if i created a thread and it got deleted for whatever reason i wouldnt start another one whinging about it and making myself look petty and bitter about the internet

i think you’ve taken this whole thread out of context, therefore suggesting you need to get reading glasses, hormone replacement therapy, a decent sh ag or better still …a life
