    Well, just to bore everyone to absolute death – just gone around to a friend’s house for coffee and she has given me a load of wood for my fire – very expensive to buy – so I am happy.

    Also, my kitchen tap has snapped orf – so got a plumber coming around to fix the tap tomorrow.

    How exciting is that then?! :lol:

    It is, when you can’t afford to turn the CH on, ‘cos of the price of oil!!!! :D

    Not the wood I was on about though lol, but yeah I do know what you mean.
    All the houses being built now have gas, but I prefer a real fire, nout beats it.

    Same with the price of gas too. Living in the country we have a gas tank that costs 2500 euros to fill and even using the central heating frugally it disappears rapidly. Having a wood burner in the kitchen/living area where we spend most of our time is providing all the heating we currently need and hopefully our heating bill this winter will be just over 300 euros.

    A steer of wood is 55 euros here – was 40 euros five years ago
