Boris for President!
Crikey! so – how would the Tory answer to Billy Bunter help us out of the deficit problem???
How would any politician help us out of the deficit problem?
so why have Billy Bunter for President???
cos at least he makes (some of) us laugh?
14 October, 2012 at 5:37 pm #512652‘and some the laughing stone disable’
Once the laughter (from some) dies down, there remains a rather serious business…we live in a different world since Lehman…
I don’t think the Tory Right is the way forward, even when it dresses itself up as a clown.
14 October, 2012 at 6:43 pm #512653I’m not sure any of them are the way forward, however they dress themselves up… :?

I agree with you (for once..). UKIP is the way forward.

Interesting point, Terry, and now I’m going to pick your knowledge –
what is the difference between UKIP and the Tory Right in your opinion – in terms of politics? Briefly, and I’ll try not to make cheap debating points, honest.

Yes, but politics is hardly your strong point is it?

You could always move to South America!

15 October, 2012 at 9:00 am #512660There’s no difference between UKIP and the Tory right wing fomr what I can see, when it comes to leaving the EU. Some ministers like Philip Hammond, the Defence Sec, are already saying that the UK should leave.
The political landscape is changing a lot, and Cameron is aware of it (actually, Cameron may well be a lazy git more interested in games but he does have advisers whose job it is to keep their eyes open).
It looks more and more likely that Cameron will call a referendum on the UK relationship with the EU after the next election. This is for one reason only – the EU is changing fundametnally and before our eyes because of the euro crisis. There is quiet now, but the storms are on the horizon.
It’s like a bank run in slow process. I think they’rll resolve it, but there could be ‘blood’ – some countries like Greece may be forced out, and the institutions, treaties etc. are likely to be so changed that a two speed Europe will be, is being, created. Cameron will most likely call a referendum when that becomes clearer.
like momes(?), I don’t fancy going to South America. Europe for me.
