Anyone got any tips for permanent puffy/bags that never really seem to go away?!

Depends on the cause but try the following:

Try applying some hemorrhoid cream under the thin skin of the eye – yes, seriously! It contains anti-inflammatory agents that can help alleviate puffy eyes and is gentle enough to be put on the skin around the eyes.

Several times a day gently tap the skin where it’s puffy, starting from the inside and working out. This helps release and drain any fluid build up.

Apply cold compresses to your eyes. You can get gel filled eyepacks but used chamomile tea bags that have been chilled in the fridge are just as effective, as are cold spoons. And of course there’s the age old remedy of cucumber slices but you’ll have to get the cucumber off bornfree first

Stop drinking, or reduce, tea, coffee, fizzy drinks and anything containing artificial sweeteners.

Get at least 8 hours sleep a night.

Don’t apply moisturiser inside the orbital bone. If you use an eye cream, make sure it’s the right one and not too rich.

    How’s that?

Ooooo thanks ever so much! Not sure about the hemorrhoid cream, but will give it a go, can’t do any harm I wouldn’t have thought! Also not sure about one of Born’s cucumbers – don’t know where it has been! lol

Oh dear, I do drink a lot of tea and coffee, will try and reduce it and drink more water, amd even though I am not that keen on herbal teas, I will try out the camomile one and use the cold used tea bags. As for alcohol, I can take it or leave it, don’t think that is the reason, I think it is the sun, which I am afraid I love – I do wear sunglasses though, most of the time!

I do generally get 8 hours sleep, so I can rule that one out, and I use Garnier Ultra Lift eye cream, at vast expense! I am trying out different one’s. It seems to have crept up on me without me realising!!

I will try each one separately, so if one works, I will know which one it is – will do a 2 week stint on each – do you think that is long enough?

Anyway, I will let you know if I am successful, and maybe others, who may have the same problem will try it out!

I don’t have dark circles, thank god – think that would finish me orf lol However you can cover them up, unlike bags lol! I suppose I could selotape them squidged and cover the selotape pmsl

Thanks again :D mwa mwa xxx

£15 is vastly expensive? Hmmm with Boots loyalty points and 3 for 2 offers I would say it’s vastly cheap.

I bought some cream – wearing sunglases lol, nah………..but, have been using it for a week now and it is working! A friend of mine told me that apparently models use it, so I thought what the heck lol Thought I would let everyone know, as it might help someone else too! Thanks Jen x :D

eeeek be careful anc.. yes, pile creme is a quick cure but it also contains steroids that thin the skin.

Brings a whole new meaning to “i’m gonna get sh/itfaced”

Personally I think I’d try all the more natural things first, the cream would be my last resort and even then only if I was desperate…but then that’s easy for me to say as I’m lucky enough to have only suffered from puffy eyes and/or dark circles very very occasionally when I’ve known the cause.
