I’m not defending him tics, what he did was horrific, but im guessing his family too are part of that close community, and from what has been said he appeared an ordinary man living in that ordinary community, so my point was something must have snapped to cause such an horrendous devastating thing to happen, in no way am i defending his actions.
It’s obvious to everyone that somthing triggered this man to go on this rampage to kill. But, if reports are correct, he was apparantly a normal bloke who did hold a fire arms licence. One of the questions here has to be then, are firearms ever safe in anyones hands, as any one of us can flip if somthing that happens in our lives triggers it. If someone flips and doesn’t have a gun they cannot kill people like we saw today.

It’s unlikely to have been premeditated, of course that doesn’t make it any better but things such as this happen very rarely

I’m not sure if holding a fire arms licence would make any difference if someone flips and wants to do something like that they will get a weapon im sure, difficult one to judge. And in all seriousness most crimes with guns and knives are by people that dont have any licences for them.

I dont doubt that tics and dont blame anyone for those feelings, just saying its extreme, esp from such a close quiet community for one of that community to suddenly go like that, i repeat its is appalling and dont defend his actions in the slightest.

I have to say you have a point. Someone who can evade police and continue on this killing and wounding mission of his, must in part at least, have some idea of what they’re doing.I’m so sorry Tictax. I can’t begin to imagine the sheer anger and pain your community must be feeling at this time. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you all.

I’m so sorry for the pain you and your community are suffering tictax and although its reported he was a very quiet man I can’t help but feel the need to have all those different types of firearms suggests to me there was some kind of underlying evilness ready to errupt.
